This disclosure forces Shiki into an agonizing choice—restoring Mother's full power would erase the survival of everyone who perished in prior universes, including himself. Instead, inspired by the very event that allowed Ziggy to find infant Shiki on Earth, he lures the Chronophage, a time-devouring entity, into reverting Mother to her planetary state. The Chronophage's true identity is revealed to be an amnesiac version of Rebecca from the future. In the climactic battle, Edens Zero and Ziggy destroy the artificial intelligence Edens One and its android host Over Nu Etherion Void, while Shiki appeases the Chronophage and vanquishes it. The crew ultimately disbands after using their technology to revitalize Earth, reuniting on Granbell for the birth of Shiki and Rebecca's daughter.
